First Days in Roma...

Hello everyone... I am writing my first blog about my new exciting journey ahead of me. For the next four months I will be living in Rome, Italy and these last few days were just the start. I arrived here on Monday afternoon to find my new apartment to be wonderful and I am so excited about my living situation. I am living with four other girls from my Graphic Design program and am sharing a room with two other girls while the other two have another room. My apartment is small and quaint, located in one of the more residential areas of Rome called Trastevere. It is only about a twenty minute walk to class and I get to cross the Tiber River everyday on my walk to the studio. Our studio is located in the Jewish Ghetto of Rome and is just as wonderful as my apartment. The last few days have been very hot here about 100 degrees wow, and filled with lots of walking. I can definitely say I know my feet are hating me already! My first day of classes were on Wednesday and we spent the morning walking around some parts of Rome preparing for our first assignment in one of my studios. Today was even better, I had my first class of art history and was really dreading it, but it turned out to be absolutely amazing. My professor is very theatrical and even amazed us when he used the F word to describe one of the many monuments in the Roman Forum. We were in the heat of the sun most of the day, but the many historical stories surpassed the uncomfortable weather. I saw many of the most amazing structures I have seen in my entire life, just imagining what occurred here many years ago was crazy. Well, I will keep you all updated on my daily activities with my many blogs. I will try to keep you all well informed with as many as possible. I miss you all sooooo much and don't hesitate to skype or send me a little email and I will do the same. As for today Ciao!!!!
